I’m at 1350 rapid (going up) and I just hit 2500 puzzles, generally you’ll be 800-100 points lower then your most played mode (rapid, blitz, bullet)

I've lost it! Was flying in puzzle battles until 2 weeks ago, now I am terrible at chess!

Got over 2000 on puzzles, over a 1000 for the battles, then lost 150 points in a week! Does anyone else burn out regularly and go right back to the bottom?
I think I've been playing for 2 years now, played a little as a kid, took up online chess during lockdown and now I can call it an unhealthy obsession!

Ive had 2000 puzzle rating when i was like 500blitz and i have it today. It means nothing and Ill probably have it when Im 1500too. Its far more important to work on your GamePlay imo.

Yeah puzzle kinda teaches how to convert a winning position with winning tactics but it wont teach you how to get to a winning position. A lot of the moves you do in chess is to improve your position and try to be sneaky and build an attack that your opponent hopefully not see before its to late.

@ChesswithNickolay I am rated 800 in blitz and had a peak of 3000 something in puzzles. My current rating is 2976.

Have over 2000 here and around 1400 in Chess Tempo. I‘m very bad at playing though, many times completely lost. That’s because in puzzles I know that there is a good move and while playing chess, I know nothing which sucks massively. Overwhelmed by countless of books, videos, totally lost.

Just achieved 2000 puzzle rating with 900 blitz peak few months ago because im scared of losing rating

I nearly hit 2000 in puzzles (1987) as a 900 rapid player, I'm pretty sure puzzle ratings don't tell you much about the player.

I'm 1275 rapid (which is the only rated way I play) and 2301 in puzzles. I just take my time with the puzzles, like I do with the bot games I've been playing a lot of lately. I find both the bot games and the puzzles are developing my ability to visualise and calculate, which wouldn't happen if I was rushing like in bullet or blitz or puzzle rush. I don't think the puzzle ratings really have any relationship at all to Elo.

at 2000 puzzle rating I'd estimate to be around 1500 and they'd have absolutely no clue about planning or positional play

I have a rating of 2000 in puzzles but I am "only" 1200 in rapid lol. But does that mean I have a bright future?!

I'm 700 and I have 2020 puzzle rating lol

Hard to say but most likely 2 - 3

From my own personal experience, puzzle solving helps you find the tactics in real games much faster.

That is very impressive!

How much time do you spend on average on a puzzle?
