Lets revive again the post.. hahaha Just for fun.. anyways I blunder a lot too.. chess is so hard =(
How to avoid blunders ?

my blunders typically are when I am too concentrated on offense with my next move(s) and failing to look from a defensive perspective at what my opponents thinking might be on his next move(s).

I used to click and drag the pieces. That led to alot of placement mistakes. Now I just click the piece I'm thinking of moving and then click the square I want to move it to after checking carefully. It has helped.
if you're playing on mobile the hint is exactly the opposite, dragging your pieces is 100% safer as friction will stop your finger from moving too much, and you can also check if both your piece and finger are on the right place you want them to be, whereas when you just click you'll only realize your mistake once it's already done

For what it's worth, I have set up a small and free chess app exactly for the purpose of avoiding blunders:
You import your own chess games, and the app will screen your moves. Then you get puzzles from the blunders and mistakes that you have made in your games.
Like this, you can replay the positions and find better moves. The app will support you by assessing your moves and recommending best moves based on chess engine evaluations. Et voila, you will learn from your past blunders and improve your chess skills!
You can find the app here in the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cbt.chess_blunder_trainer
Let me know, what you think!

That's so nice! Thank you very much, I'm trying it right now
Best advice I have seen in this video! It goes though reasons why you get into these positions rather than saying scan your opponents moves or safety etc. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SXrKRA_KZ5k
