How to get a rating of 1600 on chess.com?

KeSetoKaiba

Each higher rating is just adding to what you already knew and applying that extra ability and insight into your chess games. 1600 (chess.com rapid) is a really high rating though; from a statistical standpoint, most players never reach this rating. In fact, the average global chess rating is close to 700 (even though that is still "beginner range" for chess knowledge) and even a 1400 rated player is higher rated than probably 90% of all chess players in the world.

With that said, 1600 is a feasible rating for many people, but it requires a lot of work and study and most people just don't put in the huge amount of time needed to get to this level. Ironically enough, there is a ton of chess things that even a 1600 rating player doesn't know!

Is there any particular reason you chose 1600? It seems like an oddly specific number. Is there a friend of yours who is 1600 or something like this? Most people probably aim for 1000 rating and then set goals in increments of 100 or 200 points from there.
