GM is not a requirement. CM is enough.
How to become a GM?

I wonder if chess.com will accept the new FIDE Arena titles of AGM, AIM, AFM and ACM for free membership?
Arena titles can be earned online using FIDE's server, and are intended for players in the lower rating band. Should a player with an arena title gain an over the board FIDE title, this title replaces their arena title.
AGM (Arena Grand Master) is achieved by a series of 150 bullet games, 100 blitz games or 50 rapid games with a performance rating of over 2000.
AIM) (Arena International Master is achieved by a series of 150 bullet games, 100 blitz games or 50 rapid games with a performance rating of over 1700.
AFM (Arena Fide Master) ) is achieved by a series of 150 bullet games, 100 blitz games or 50 rapid games with a performance rating of over 1400.
ACM Arena Candidate Master) is achieved by a series of 150 bullet games, 100 blitz games or 50 rapid games with a performance rating of over 1100.

No, only Over the Board titles are recognized.
@ThebestA9player to get a title you have to play OTB regular rated events, qualify for the title, and get the title fee paid.

Well yes, that's obvious for now, maybe I should have explained that better. My point was that the Arena titles are new and I wondered if they'd be accepted in the future. I'll now add to that if not for free membership then as recognition of the title holder. After all chess.com recogonises the lesser NM title why shouldn't they recognise the full spectrum of FIDE title.
Wasn't expecting a discussion, was simply pointing out FIDE have some new titles.

I want to get unlimited diamond membership, and to do that I have to become a GM. So, how do i do that?
It might be easier to spend your time getting a non chess career, and then buy a membership. Just saying...

I'm pretty certain the site will never recognize online titles.

That's a fair point. To gain a GM title you need to travel the world to OTB tournaments for many years playing in many month long tournaments. Which is just how the recently titled GM Hans Niemann gained his third GM norm, he still had to spend time and hard earned on the international tournament circuit to boost his rating to the required GM level of 2500.
So how long did that take him? Hans Niemann started playing chess aged 8, achieved FIDE Master title aged 12, achieved International Master title aged aged 14, achieved Grandmaster title aged 17 (2021).

That's just ridiculous. FIDE, the highest authority in chess, recognise and award on-line titles. A FIDE chess title is just that and if chess.com don't recognise the title they are not recognising FIDE, which is utter nonsense. Whether or not they choose to honour online titles with a highlighted prefix or free membership is a different matter. Also (and this we have learned through COVID-19) due to the expense of international travel, month long hotel stays etc on-line chess is all set to be a future compliment to OTB chess.
