How to Cheat on Chess.com

Chess.com does not seem to allow discussion of cheating on this forum, probably because it is so common and they know it. So here is an easy 3-step guide to cheating in a Chess.com approved manner:

- Use an engine sparingly. Don't put every move into it - pick 2 or 3 critical positions in the game and play the engine move.

- Use an opening book. Since the best moves tend to be the most played, it is impossible to detect when someone is taking moves from a database.

- Make a new account every week - it takes them about this long to ban you even if you are blatantly cheating.

Follow this guide and you shan't be banned. Now, if you want to go into the 10-minute queue and play games against 2100-2300 rated players, be my guest; you will win every game. The only people you won't beat are the other cheaters.

Those types of accounts get closed, some very quickly.

The perception of cheating levels is orders of magnitude more than the actual amount.

That said, discussions of cheating, potential cheating, or cheat detection are not allowed in the general forums. If you would like to discuss join the following club once you've been a member for at least a month. https://www.chess.com/club/cheating-forum
