how to combat salty players saying mean thing to you (serious) (messed up in terms of word usage)

warning some of you people may get disgusted by it, but it works.

the answer is simple just do what they said

they say go ***, you literally talk about it in detail.

they say go eat (a) **** you just describe the texture the taste the colour etc (add noise effects for that added special effect trauma )

they will get disgusted or they will stop

10/10 works  (sample size 3)

...or you just think about how pathetic it is to get so upset about anonymous online chess games and move on in life.

I enjoy it when my opponent's frustration is so overwhelming that he has to resort to such lowly behavior.

Trash talk makes a game more interesting and fun, at least to competitive people anyways.

I know there are a bunch of pansies on here with their "be respectful" policies handing out flowers all day, but they don't understand the heat of the battle.🙄

People actually use the Chat? I am new here (like started week ago) but I never saw anyone use chat.

I play 10 mins games so if I have them check mate I will make them wait until my time is almost out to end the game all the while messaging them "tip the king" over and over again

I had a guy chat me that i should go kill myself.

I like that kinda moxie.  Someones that's not afraid of telling it like it is.  That person has management written all over 'em.

I have had someone call me names and tell me to just give up because i am bad at chess anyway! its difficult when they say u suck at chess....it makes me feel bad and i don't want to play anymore! 

And i always lose the game afterward!

Just remember...

When someone goes out of the way to be mean to you.  Its a reflection of their life.  It may not lessen the sting of the comment(s), but hopefully it gives you some ability to forgive.

Youre preaching to the choir.  Its incredibly difficult to let go when we have been "wronged"

But like i said.  If someone is so miserable that they have to attack someone online, that they dont know?  It makes having some compassion a little easier.

I'm not sure how much sting there actually can be in a comment given by some random stranger with anger issues or an inferiority complex who knows absolutely nothing about the person he's "stinging."  
 

I have been called some racist names here as well they seem to be more from some bitter South African expats ( judging boy the choice of words used!) I must hasten to add that I have met some true gentleman of this game, that's why I am still here!

Yes i know its hard to forgive them but.....i don't really wanna play chess games now! i stick to tactics...and puzzle battles 

It makes me feel like i want to say something else to them and say something mean but i have been praying that i don't do that its just hard!

I'm not a fan for mean people.....even tho its hard not to be mean right back to them i hope that u guys don't be mean back to them even tho it might be sometimes hard! It has happened to me before and it didn't turn out well!
