well, this question arised in my mind and i might even be able to answer it. i would love if people take interest in this and give some valuable comments. throught my journey at chess.com i mostly played bullet and would like to give my answer in that aspect.

okay.tell me about the characters considering these situations,

1. These type of people who when losing simply resign! a perfect sportsmanship.

2.These type of people when losing dont resign neither reply to your texts in chat and let the time run out! imagine how long it will take if you are playing a rapid game!

3.these type of people will do anything to win on time at the end! sacrificing his queen rooks anything just for few stupid checks so that he wins on time!

4.then there are another type of people who disconnect when losing(the worst thing).

5.then there are people who decline rematches after one lucky win!

6.then there are people who are up in time but very low in material will do anything to save that last piece so that they win on time and game is not called a draw on timeout vs insufficient material!

7.few people always say gg and hello and other good things during matches

8. few people call [language - MOD].and other bad words after losses

9.what do you call a 1400 who aborts a game when he gets a match against a 1240? is he afraid that if he loses he wil lose 11 points or does he think that this guy is not upto his level to match him?. or does he think he is no deal to him?

10. what do you call a 1100 simply letting his time run out against a 1700 during live tournaments ? is he afraid he will lose badly?

I dont think you can, specially on internet chess, you may be able to get some idea of how they are if you look at their play and body language OTB, but people are very different from the board anyways.

Clairify?

BronsteinPawn

Sometimes you see people speaking without confidence in tournaments, they look at you with a "i dont know what to do face" and will usually have terrible posture, you know that almost always those people are shy.

This may sound retarded but usually I always try to speak loud and clear and sit straight and move my pieces like Bobby Fischer would I think it puts some pressure on the opponnent.

Better do what you ask in REAL LIFE, and not by the use of internet.

Draw is perfectly legal and i solemly swear i will look for it always like gold even if that means i may be looked down as a bad character person and yeah obscenity comes naturally like breathing,no worries.

Judging by this post, you're the kind of person to whine about everything

Count to hippopotamus.

Ready? Okay go...

Lack of capitalization and neglect to find a proper username even after most are taken and judging the person's profile picture with spiky hair and glasses suggests someone trying too hard for that flirty-but-serious-and-intelligent type of demeanor.

i-p-p

Reality? The subject comes across as naive and someone who is pseudointelligent. The whole instragram preference of light blue tint suggests a soft demenor. The subject's room is small judging from the proportion and distance to the frame at the back of the wall, which I can only deduce as a calendar of some sort and it must surely be because of the context of the annual frame of referene. The calendar further highlights a tendency towards discipline and logic, but not an obsessive one as the books from the photo shows that they are not neatly stacked.

o-p-o-t

The youth - again somewhere between age of 18-22- is from India, name Saurav, and has a 98.2% chance of living with his family albeit in his own room. He is image conscious possibly in need of attention from the opposite sex, soft in demeanor as suggested from the tone of the tint and pink shirt as well as facial complexion and texture. The fact that he has a live standard rating of 1548 shows he has reached a plateau and taking on the frustration by playing the 'abort-card' game needlessly hankering on about a player profile on quitting a game before 'time runs out'.

-a-m-u

In conclusion, the tone, overall demenor, the contradiction between long post and a neglect for punctuation as well as overall dichotomy is highly suggestive of a naif who is a passive-aggressive individual who is in need of attention... - he also leans a little to the left as suggested by body language but also the angle of selfie needs to be taken in to consideration-... and in need of attention possibly from the opposite sex, who can be charming at times, but mainly timid, shy and late to take action.

-s-

I wouldn't take the individual to be your another garden-variety alpha male, quick to be friendzoned and the fact that he is from Bihar means he can speak either of the following languages: Angika, Bhojpuri, Hindi, Kudmali, Magahi, Maithili.

saurav2202

@themonkwithnoname. well, well, well we have got a criticizer. first of all I have a name you are someone with no name! dont worry i will find you one! and what do you want to suggest with my username? that is my username my choice. it consists of two parts my name and secondly my date of birth and that is my  username at every other place so what is the big deal here? and secondly "I DONT HAVE A GIRLFRIEND" NEITHER AM I A ATTENTION SEEKER" . well that phrase  may just  suit you by taking someone for granted in a public forum. if you didnt liked the post you could had simply ignored it, did i force you to write something about me or my country? and whatever languages i speak how does it bothers you? well and your profile picture of a question mark indicates you are a question mark in itself. you got no face( at least i got a face) you got no name( i got a name) and here i am not giving a grammer test so i dont find the need to put punctuations. are you some kind of a astrologer? simply looking at my books you could say am i devoted to my studies or not? I have two things in my life chess and my studies and i dont need to even clarify there things to retarded persons like you who got no other work just spamming posts of other people!

Whiteboar
Your reaction to Ninjakiwi says a lot. Exclamation mark after every sentence. You'll lose lots of energy when you are upset as soon as people don't agree or are not courteous enough to you. Sometimes people just want to concentrate on the game. Others want to win, as long as they follow the (time) rules why be upset about it? Accepting each other makes life much easier. And the foul mouthed? Just ignore them. What will you gain by being angry?
YU_2

You really think it is possible to determine someones character by simply playing a game of chess...??? No, this is not possible. Even if you play face to face with a person... - sorry.

Blackvenom_002

Here's the lesson for the day kiddo,STOP asking naive and unwanted questions on commonly known facts about internet chess or else these mfkrs will troll the living hell outta you.Internet can be a fun as well as a tough place to be dude, accept it and move on.

zqdw

Not sure about personality traits, but if you spot your opponents pawns in a kitchen stove formation, you are most likely playing a female.

Blackvenom_002

Also if they use more than 3 smileys in a chat its definitely a female.
