How to disrespect rude opponents (Important game knowledge)

Often times you will encounter players that just won´t resign and continue playing on. This is considered rude behaviour as they signal you that they do not trust your ability to convert the advantage. In such cases it is of great importance to disrespect them back instead of simply ending the game.

Scenario 1: Your opponent has few seconds on the clock and still tries to play on (to trick you)

Solution: Sacrifice as much of your material, perferably with check, before winning the game on time. Perfect would be if you only had a few pawns and your king left when he runs out of time.

Scenario 2: Your opponent is completely lost but refuses to surrender and keeps on playing.

Solution A): Take all his material until only his king is left. Then promote your remaining pawns to knights or bishops. Then move your pieces all to the back row and take your time before checkmating him.

Solution B): Spam question marks in the chat or type something like "hmm tough position, I am only up 2 pieces and a pawn". One move before mating him you can ask "hmm what to play here, its so tough". Then before you do the mating move offer him a draw and quickly mate him before he can accept it. Be careful to not fail this hehe.

Solution C): Play on until he is one move away from mate, then let your time run down to 1 second and mate him. While letting your time run down you can read a book for example or make yourself some coffee. You can suggest the same to your opponent in chat.

Solution D): Surrender yourself and type "gg well played" in chat. Go offline immediately after that.

Scenario 3: You beat your opponent in at least 2 games and he still offers you a rematch.

Solution A): Play normal chess again, win and get your free rating points. After the game type in chat "ggs thanks for free rating".

Solution B): Start the game with a disrespectful opening like 1.h4 or 1.f3 and beat him after that. If you fail to win using this opening ragequit and play Uno instead.

Your solution is not the best. I don't want to be rude to my opponent. I play on a lot of times so do not spam your opponent. That indicates that you are no worse than your opponent. I do not mean to be rude to you though. Sorry

OP writes: "How to deal with rude players"

OP's solution:  Be twice as rude in return.

It is this younger generations "messed up" attitudes that festers all the "rudeness" we find currently in online chess.

Example: OP says "If you fail to win using this opening ragequit"

OP would never be allowed in the front door of any chess club for a 2nd visit.

THe OP's moniker is offensive. I'm sure when a Moderator views it, it will be removed.

Its a sense of entitlement that seems to be everywhere.

"I have a right"

"Who are you to tell me what to do"

"I can do what i want"

Annonymity has a powerful hold on some.  And yes...he would not have done that in public/in person, and he would not have been invited back to our club.

The internet tough guy strikes again.

That was a funny read - yes, I want more guides.

Some pearls are "offer a draw before checkmating - but quick!" and "suggest to the opponent that he also read a book while waiting for that hammer to fall"...

On the bright side, I see that if I lose a couple games to you I will win one back because of that 1. f3 thing - and then I'll meet you again when I go and play Uno.

Hey solskytz, haven't seen you post in a while.

I liked reading the original post, but I'm with shravani-Patil. I like to be a respectful person and that doesn't change, even if my opponents are.

One look at the OP's avatar tells us all we need to know. This thread is not simply a trolling joke, but someones brash attempt at being rude and obnoxious.

How much more do you need to know...

when i find an opponent like this, i get to where i have a mate in 1 with a few minutes left, then say i got to go answer the phone, then i wait until there is about 1 second left on the clock and just play the mate, sometimes i only have 0.2 seconds left after playing the mate.

True - I'm not so active in the forums nowadays... :-)

Sheesh! If you have time for all this nonsense, why does it bother you that he is using up his clock? BTW, I did chuckle a few times at your post.

I don't have time for silly stuff like the OP proposes.

And you can proudly boast "I just totally wasted a few minutes of my life, showing that rude dude who really is in charge".

haha that guide is only for online chess obviously :D. In otb chess you rarely play such short time controls and you can not even do most of the things mentioned in my guide Laughing. By the way the thing about ragequitting if you lose was only a joke, I do not actually do this unless I am extremely mad at myself for playing badly (which sometimes happens).
