Well, Arena has a decent Help file, which should help.
But to enter moves for both sides, just click on the "Edit" button in the middle of the GUI.

No, I mean old school - we recorded the moves with pen and score sheets - using algebraic notations.
I tried the edit mode, but it doesn't let me go all the way through our moves.
The help file doesn't address this issue. I was able to do it on BabasChess, but that app is pretty old now and hasn't been updated for anything since W7.

It ought to let you make any legal moves. I don't suppose you're trying to make an illegal move at some point?
For who, like me, finds this topic because the piece will not move.
I did a manual setup, but forgot to turn the board around while I was playing black. And the pawn did not want to move backwards. 🤣🤣🤣
HAPPY Thanksgiving everyone in the States and greetings to all others!
I downloaded Arena 3.5.1 - the latest for Windows.
I play games with family members live using a chess set - the old way! We document every move just like a tournament.
Now I want to manually enter the moves in Arena, save the game as a png and then analyze it.
I have no clue how to get it done.
Can someone PLEASE tell me step by step, how to do this?
