Sorry to hear that. Bullet is very different because with so little time on the clock, the time becomes an element of the game and position or material matter slightly less. Speed chess (blitz and bullet, but especially bullet) aren't usually recommended for learning. These time controls are also so fast that it is mostly pattern recognition and experience.

You can play bullet a little easier by eliminating your thinking time before you get into a game. If you choose an opening you know well with lots of theory (or use a system opening where the move order matters less than the setup), then this can save you precious seconds as you can play your opening moves mostly off of memory. Similarly, you can save time by knowing endgames really well, so that you can convert your endgame with precise technique (bonus if you already know how to premove most of that endgame).

All of these things (and more) are better with experience. Bullet is tough enough already, so might as well not make it tougher on yourself by your opponent being faster than you.

Here is one bullet-related video I made months ago on premoving Queen checkmate, but again, this is easier with experience and practice. Longer time controls like 10 min or longer is better for learning as you have some extra time to think.

Bullet chess isn't good for practice and learning. I think u should play rapid or blitz

You should wait until you are better at the slower game modes. Also if you really wanted to play bullet doing a lot of puzzles would help because the whole point of puzzles is to get better at spotting tactics quicker.

Idk, but the puzzles is really the important part actually (I think).

I don't think there is an exact rating number, since bullet isn't really useful for learning at pretty much any level. Maybe at least 1500+ before bullet would help, but most people never reach this high. At the very least 1200+ to make sure you have the fundamentals down for the most part.

use hands

EireShadow

I use it as a warm up to rapid or blitz. 4 or 5 bullet games to start off the day.

BlueScreenRevenge

Don't play it for now. It is useless at best and probably just plain harmful for your chess improvement (if that's something you are after).

Wow I finally win one bullet!
