How to play just white

A newbie. Just joined. Is there a way to play white? First two live games have me play black.

Keep in mind that your games will "even out" color wise over time.  You are never going to improve if all you want to do is play white.  And after awhile, no one will want to play you if all they are going get is black.

The website makes it random, but if two people played black twice in a row, and their next game is against each other, guess what? Someone gets a 3rd black in a row. But now you'll get more whites to even it out.

Maybe in unrated games you can pick your color, I don't know.

In unrated games you can pick your color. I played 2 exhibitions where I played several strong players and I only had Black for all the games.
