Slow down and take your time. Consider what the threat is and try to react. Do you have an example

yes the last fives games are that way ---its ok though -- i will just play the bots and computer games they never play cut throat chess - playing now to enjoy game not trying to win that for me is a waste of time it will never happened -- so i will not fight it any more -

Ah Doker, the only way to deal with aggressive openings really is to learn how to defend against them- they're not being cutthroat or "rush artists", they're just playing the game (badly, in fact, because it's easy to punish them for it, and you can do that if you're willing to watch a YouTube video or two).

If it only takes them 4 moves to checkmate you then actually that's your fault, not theirs. I do understand, I always hated when people try that with me too, since it means we can't just develop normally and have a nice game full of tactics and intrigue. But they usually don't try it once you're up above maybe 600.

In the end, yes it's extremely annoying to play against someone who does this, but for most of us it's very rare to play against someone who does this-- because one of the very, very first things a beginner chess player learns is how to use and defend against it. So that's what I'd recommend- it would only take you a few minutes to learn how to defend against scholar's mate (early queen attacks aimed towards your F pawn), and that way you could beat those players instead of losing to them and gain a lot of rating, until you're playing people who don't make the mistake of trying to make early queen attacks and instead develop properly.

This video has detailed, straightforward explanations about how to beat those players for beginners: https://youtu.be/2a3wDY69NJI. I recommend pausing it and rewinding a bit frequently while you watch to look very closely at the board. It explains what their goal is (checkmating you on F2/F7 with their queen supported by their other pieces), and how to stop them from achieving that goal.

Again, this is one of the very first things a chess player needs to learn, and if you don't learn it then you will never progress to anything beyond it in chess, and will be stuck playing those early-attackers permanently, which does make the game a lot less fun in my opinion.

If you want to practice against a bot which doesn't know any openings and won't attack you, who mostly just pushes pieces around the board without any goals, then you should play the Martin bot. In fact, I've never heard of anyone actually managing to LOSE to Martin he's that bad, so this can probably give you some confidence. But after you have learned about defending against early queen attacks, you can practice it by playing against the Nelson bot, who always does them. It will be a long time before you can beat him, but playing him and then clicking the ANALYSE GAME button afterwards to check what blunders you tend to make (in order to learn what NOT to do and PRECISELY WHY it was a blunder), you can get a lot of practice in defending early queen attacks without losing any rating points.

Ultimately, we can't pick and choose who we play on here like that, but if you don't want them to try scholar's mate then you need to punish them for it, so you can gain points and start playing people who don't do it (because they know by your rating that you would punish them for it).

Players have different playing style. Sadly, they are not and doesn't seem feasible that players will be categorized by their playing style. Hence, you cannot determine who you will be paired with by playing style.

Just enjoy the game, sometimes you will get the 50+ moves games you desire, other time you won't. It's really unlikely to get such long games as players like me and you will likely blunder even before move 10.
