Hypermodern Theory SOLVED!

Sort:
mikex22

Hypermodern theory, the slow (cowardly), conservative (unoriginal), cautious (indirect), and tricky (fillintheblank) systematic undermining of the opponent's openings and plans via solid (conservative) pawn structures and long range (indirect) influence has finally been put to rest! With the clever use of only one piece!

Pretty much the exact same thing has been done.... on here... not too long ago no less.  But I chuckled.

Masterful_Forfeit

Hey that's my first time seeing it, and I laughed incredibly hard. Thank you for this!

Black would easly win this game. I could beat someone easy if they just did that

But how, it's obvious white has the advantage.

For any new players, this is sarcasm.  I am making fun of assassin2142 inability to recognize humor.  This would silly of white to do, please, do not try it...

EVANSTEINW21

It has a weakness!!!!!!!

uritbon

black can always try destroying himself if white doesn't have anything good to undermine.

heavyop

I think White has the advantage because he hasn't weakened his position with useless pawn moves like Black has

mikex22

haha, I had no idea people still read these ^^

You're awfully pretty for a chess player, are you sure you're real? =P

Skwerly

lmao good stuff here.  :)

But hypermodern openings still lead to interesting games...

freesta

black would see your plan and undermine your anti-undermining.

mikex22

I should post puzzles and stuff ^^ brb

Sigmoid_Flexure

Can we call this the crocodile opening? The 'possum?

mikex22

haha, sure :P

it's kinda lame but I posted a puzzle anyways. I realized once I started the topic that I had no tactical problems in mind at all so I stole a game I recently finished <.<

I once saw two players play a game with this opening, white won (even though black was the more respected player):

How? Was black rated 900?

XavierPadilla

After 7. Nf3! Black resigned.
