When I was solving puzzles my rating was 3096 and I got a hard puzzle. When I solved it Wrong I just lost 16 rating points and like this I reached 3015 where I solved a hard puzzle and I got only 5 rating points. Pls tell if there is some rule like this. I felt like I am being cheated so pls look at this.

Plz see about it.

You should look at the target and average times, then compare it to your actual time to solve the puzzles.

If there are sequences to the puzzles, you don’t get punished as severely depending on how deep into the the puzzles you got correctly.

If you take too long, 5 points is the max attainable.

When you solve it faster, there are extra points for the speed.

Great job on 3000+ btw.

I have been fluctuating between 2500 and 2700 mainly because I drill them quickly as a training tool to either warm up or replicate my 15/10 games.

Is there any way to do the puzzles unrated and untimed? I feel like I'm not getting much out of them because of that darn clock.

Yes, there is. Puzzle rush, Survival option. There is no timer.

I was 4000 in puzzles and the system keeps giving me easy puzzles meant for 3400 rated people and I answered it correctly well before the time limit and I LOST 16 point of rating. I fell off from 4100 like this all the way to 3900.

There have been some updates in how puzzles are rated on the back-end but the UI still shows the old ratings. That will be changed as some point but the puzzles, and resulting member ratings, should be better represented with the updated system.

This was happening to me about a month ago, when suddenly some puzzles that I have done over 500 times, were suddenly wrong.

I checked this out with support, but they weren't aware of a bug with that.

Refunded my 2 puzzles 'lost'.
