A month ago I was in the 1900 range but I suddenly started improving and I got a win streak of 13 but again I started decreasing my rating. pls give some advice so that I would not drop down from 2000 and improve more.

Study endgames, especially rook endings.
Analyse your lost games.

is it better to play 15+10 or 10+0

@3

15|10 is better than 10|0.
15|10 is the official rapid time control like for the Rapid World Championship.
Thanks to the increment you have 10 seconds/move to win a won position or draw a drawn position.
The game focus stays on the board, not on the clock and flagging.

Very interesting !! Was 2000 a specific target ?

Exactly the same thing happened to me; I set 2000 as a target and got there is six months, although I wasn't that far off to begin with from a long time before. As soon as I passed it, I starting losing badly because my target had gone. I stopped using this website and concentrated on chess DVDs and playing OTB - in fact, I was a Gold member here for a year without even knowing because it automatically renewed when I was pretty sure that auto-renew was disabled.

When I got another unexpected 'Thank you for renewing' notification, I started using the site again, I have only ever played 15|10 because that is official rapid and I don't like playing any faster. By now I was 2200 and set myself a target of 2300. I got there recently but when I achieved it, I started losing again. I suspect that if I had set a target of 2325, I would have achieved it before I started losing. It is a strange psychological effect.

I do lots of puzzles and always go through game analysis. I have identified that the secondary openings that I use (eg. Grand Prix) were very effective but at this level, they simply aren't and I note that the openings that I thought were my best are now only scoring 33% so I need to use more reputable openings avoiding ones with 20 moves of theory. Maybe the London.

I have also identified that my visualization is below par. I lose many games by missing an intermezzo four moves or so down the line so I am working on that by doing difficult puzzles and exercises.

Identify losing traits; it was crazy how many backward knight moves I was missing so I always pay more attention to those for example.

I enjoy a number of streamers but the one that has had the biggest impact for me is Daniel Naroditsky. That is largely because that is my 'style'. It is good to find a GM that is your 'style', yes, we would all like to be Tal but that will only suit a very minority, and work through their games and even adopt the openings that they play.

In the personality test recently added here, it said that most prominent player that I resembled was Ding Liren which is interesting because I have never followed him at all so I am going to start working through some of his games.

Good luck on 2100 !!

yes 2000 was my target but I wanted to go more further even if I reached there. Even I have taken the chess personality test and even for me it said that my most prominent player I resembled was ding liren which was suprising for me aswell because I barely watch his games. This is the second time I reached 2000 and again I started dropping down, I think 2 months ago I reached 2000 but after I reached there I was losing badly and my OTB tournament was upcoming, I performed bad overthere too, which made my confidence really low but I came back and started winning games but now again I am losing. I will try my best though for improving more and thanks for your suggestions.

I have said this before, but it is crucial that you analyse your games, do puzzles, and simply just play a lot.
