Good evening,

This thread in response to a smarty pant that claims beat the playmagnus app age 23. I'm not saying I don't believe him, he himself claims he retracted 3 moves during the game in his own thread. So bravo, for you.

Now I have not played vs Magnus app, nor do I intend to. This just to show you how I did it in my day, vs Kasparov personality in the CHESS MASTER 7000 Program as per the following:

Game is 100% Real, No cheating, No BS.

Thank you Vladimir,

When I won, almost threw myself a parade.

@CMy3B4,

Sir, this is Chessmaster 7000, from the late 1990's if I'm right. From UBI Software:

"This version rated at approx. 2468 USCF."

But I wouldn't doubt if part of that game description is an exaggeration. I originally bested the chessmaster7000 character, the main program before I began battling its personalities. When facing Kasparov, it plays the exact same moves as CM7000 up until move 37... .There Kasparov deviation is with ...Kg6. CM plays 37...Ba4. :-)

Thank you for running my game.

Can you please find rating for this version: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/enforcing-the-two-move-rule?page=2

I have written production facility, but no answer yet.

Poor Garry, now very poor playing chess engines claim they play like him. Undecided

Another thing: You haven't been playing chess since 2010 according to chess.com, how can you say that you beat Garry Kasparov?

This victory occurred back in 2001. My other victories and proof vs this engine:

And I will change the forum title.

You sure ask a lot of questions. Are you done PMSing?? It's not the real Garry you moron, it's a program. LMAO!! , another immature hater jealous of my victory. Smh in disgust.

ponz111

sea of trees. He asked questions as he knew you did not defeat Garry as the title of the forum claimed.

Well if its not the real Garry then why did you title this forum I BEAT WORLD CHAMPION GARRY KASPAROV! When really you just beat a stupid outdated trash computer? Plus, I'm far better at chess than you could ever become so don't be calling me a moron when you are a terrible chess player. Your not fooling anyone you idiot. It's obvious that you didn't beat Garry or even a computer program equal to Garry's strength. Stop making dumb forums that make it sound like your a good chess player when you should be studying and actually improving.

JA JAJAJAJA JA JAAAAA!!!! (Laughing in Spanish, I couldn't help it)

Says the person who concluded I did not use an engine and said my moves were right on. I already knew that imbecile, ran the game through a top program years ago. You think this forum is dumb? Sure caught your eye, made you click on it and run the game, thanks for wasting your time. Once you defeat your own program or a Pac man arcade, you can come back and make a PMS forum about it. Okay hijito?

Oh, pobrecito, el niño quiere su leche...ohhhh. mu mu mu mu muhhh. Ya bebito, ya, ya. (JA JA!!! Me muero, seriously can't stop laughing, what a sad little person, comes into someone's forum to talk smack about a chess game. Ain't got anything better to do. Payaso!! JA JA JA JA JA JA!!!!!!!!)

Good Achievement!

Thank you B&B,

Good to know not every person who drops by here is an ignorant high school drop out.

ponz111

sea of trees  When you make a claim that is not true--someone is going to call you out on it.

This has little to do with how strong or weak you are at chess and this has little to do with how strong or weak at chess the person who is questioning your claim to have beat Garry Kasparov.  It has to do with the truth or untruth of your statement.

Eoin-MacLove

another facepalm thread.

God this forum is trash.

Great achievement!  In the 1976 U.S. Open, in Alexandria, Virginia, I drew with a guy who had beaten former world Champion Tigran Petrosian in a simultaneous exhibition.

That's the closest I've come to actually touching greatness in chess.  One of my high school students had a list of actual OTB rated games where he beat a guy who beat a guy who beat a guy, etc. who beat Yasser Seirawan when he was at his peak.

On the other hand, I studied piano under virtuosa Frances Cheng-Koors, who studied under Konrad Wolff, who studied under Artur Schnabel, who studied under Theodor Leschetizky, who studied under Carl Czerny, who studied under Ludwig van Beethoven.

Beethoven studied under Christian Gottlob Neefe, who studied under Johann Adam Hiller, who studied under Gottfried August Homilius, who studied under Johann Sebastian Bach.

Beethoven also studied very briefly with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Beethoven studied much under Joseph Haydn and Antonio Salieri.

I therefore have Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Haydn, and Salieri in my piano background.

Another one of Frances' teachers goes back to Chopin.

So when Frances stops me in practice and says, "No! THIS is the way Chopin (or Mozart, Beethoven, etc.) played that passage," it's like hearing it from the horse's mouth.

Is it true that when playing piano, it's best to make "room for the train" with your fingers? Curve them, make a tunnel so that the train can pass through? (advice from piano instructor in film "The Visitor")

Poor Kasparov and he used to be such a good player! Undecided

LuisERE

Once I defeated a Computer 3 - Hard in chess.com and with less moves. How can we know if it is superior or not to Kasparov in Chessmaster 7000?

sea_of_trees

@LuisERE it is not. The program I defeated imitates K's style but in strength it is 2468ish, No more than 2475 perhaps. Household programs in the mid '90's were strong but not that strong and CM7000 was one of them.
