Hi.
I Drew the Chess Pieces as characters

Note; The first image of the rook (where he has no arms) should be his neutral pic and he'd turn into the second image when you move him. If that's possible then yahoo.

before anybody asks what program i used, i honestly don't know. Just googled a drawing program and went with the first result... Don't even remember the name.
kleki?

The program hasn't matter.
I may sound like a broken record with it's head cut off, but if any of y'all want to see any other chess pieces drawn in this style, just give the unprofessional a ring. I don't even get anything for drawing them anyhow.
Also, I will not always be available, i am at the age where i still have school. And the times when i send messages may have massive delays, so if i vanish for a while. Fear you must not.

Chess pieces drawn out, the part 2 nobody specifically asked for!
I drew a couple of fairy pieces out of spite. Enjoy staring at them.
The Wazir (a fairy piece that moves 1 tile horizontally or vertically)
"Ey Mate! what makes ya think you're getting to the enemy King? ya got some nerve messing with a PotHead like me!... diagonal ain't even cool!"
The Ferz (AKA the minister, a fairy piece that moves 1 tile diagonally)
"I'm always here for the king, especially now that he lost his queen again. Queen's come and go you know! We can just wait for a pawn to get to the eight rank like we usually do. This diagonal cyclops brings ORDER to the pawns. So might i ask, what the ferz do you think you're doing?!"
The Camel (A fairy piece that moves like a knight, but 3x1 instead of 2x1)
"Guh! All those pieces don't even have the slightest clue what my hump IS. they always joke about it and touch it too often. Don't they know that we camels store water inside of it because deserts are so dang hot?? Whatever, I'll just stab any invaders to this kingdom for now"
The Dababa (a fairy piece that moves 2 tiles horizontally or vertically, jumping over whatever's on the first tile. Before you laugh at this design, just know the original plan was to make him a WW1 tank.) (Yes, this piece is actually called the dababa)
"Break through the Dababa's resistance, YOU CANNOT!" Nobody stops this defender from leaping over your defenses, nothing at all!! Seriously, Dababy can block whatever crud gets thrown at him, bishop, tower dude or equestrian. YOU WILL FIGHT ME!!!"

Chinese is a glyph language. In Chinese Chess, (and Chinese).
Look, I tried.
一,二,三
Self-explanatory, the number of lines is the number it represents.
四
This one looks like a square. A square has FOUR sides, therefore this represents the number 4.
五
This one is a bit tricky. Count the number of lines (both horizontal and vertical), there are 5.
六
This one looks like a picnic table. Picnic has SIX letters, so this represents the number 6.
七
The bottom left of the character contains a rotated 7.
八
What if each stroke counted as 4? Therefore this is the number 8.
九
That curved stroke is worth 4, as we established earlier. The other stroke is made up of 4 straight lines. +1 for the intersection, and that makes 9.
十
X is 10 in Roman numerals. This is just X rotated. So it represents the number 10.

Why are we speaking Chinese.
Chinese is already a "I draw a picture" language.
whoever was making the characters for numbers, they probably gave up and drew random squiggles after 4 or 5.

八
What if each stroke counted as 4? Therefore this is the number 8.
That's pretty good.
It's root meaning is "separation".
That's exactly how you separate 2 cocaine lines.
Separation as 2 cells separate. As 2 squares separate. 囗囗.
You can see one of the ancestral character as the separation of 2 squares.

huh interesting

Chess pieces as drawings part lll.
I drew the pawn's family! the variations of the pawn you can use in fairy chess boards...
The Soldier (a pawn that moves AND captures forwards only)
The Pawn's older brother-in-law who never ever elaborates and jumps straight to conclusions.
"We cannot go around or above like this, we have to go FORWARD SOLDIERS!!! show your alliegence to the king and charge forth we say, A TRUE ARMYMAN NEVER GETS GRIDLOCKED!!!"
The Berolina (a pawn that moves diagonally and captures forwards)
The pawn's sister who is always into dangerous habits, he's worried about her quite frankly.
"Yahoo! Hey guys, you wanna see me promote into a rook instead of a queen? I'm a FIESTY one mates!"
The MinuteMan (a pawn that moves and captures diagonally only. His real name is "Stone general" but i changed it for 2 reasons. It has 2 words unlike every other piece, and there's already a fairy piece called the General, it moves like a king and a knight. Its MinuteMan now)
This younger brother of the pawn got in an accident early on, so he lost the nerve in his brain which makes him go straight. Luckily, he worked around it...
"Ey Pieces! You all locked and loaded? Because rest assured to you all, even the horses, guns will do a better job in the game! Why checkmate the king? Just hold him at gunpoint!"
The Sargent (actually called the sergent but whatever, he moves and captures both horizontally and diagonally)
the pawn's father who's survived 2 brutal wars. He sees lots of potential in all his kids...
"Indistinctly talking into walkie talkie"
the last one is a suprise, NOT a pawn?!;
I'm not doing the black version, at least not yet, keep dreaming.
"Dragon" Bishop (a bishop who can also move one tile orthogonally and then one diagonally, do not ask me what orthogonally is because I haven't a clue...)
"AHAH!! LOOK GUYS, I have long striven for the diagonal direction, and now I have gotten DRAGON POWERS. This is GOD'S gift to me. Look at how m a j e s t i c I am now, fools! Follow the lord and you too can fly into the heavens as a dragon!... oh, why are my wings becoming loose? The powers didn't fully sink in yet. Good day mates. *runs away*"
