I misclicked a mate in 1 and promoted a pawn to a knight instead of a queen and then resigned

Online chess gives new meaning to the old  'fingerfehler' chess mistake. Maybe we should call the online version 'mousefehler' or perhaps 'mouseslip' or 'mousegoof'.

It is called a mouseslip, it has been called like that for quite sone time.

i slipped and mt queen came up short one space to capture my opponents queen,. i sacked knight and bishop to get her. but didnt quite get there. and i couldnt go on since i gave up so much to get her. and over all it was pretty even with pawns and time.. good game up till that point and who knows who wo6ld win..even though i liked my chances with having queen. soooooo i slipped and offered draw and he refused. what a fn waste.. how does someone not draw? i just dont get it! some people just have no integrity. and no respect for chess and the game we were both fighting to win!

My god, crybaby, you still win with BxB and promote your passer.  Never resign.

45.Ne4  and black is toast.  In the first month after you stop resigning, you'll jump a whole class, guaranteed.

You lost Fraser....move on.

respect the game and your opponent. if there is clearly a slip.. a draw needs to be seriously considered.

fraser22, stop crying for mercy that 90% of the people here won't give you, except maybe the Indians.  Think about it . . . "Oh great warrior on the bloody battlefield, right when I go to kill you I drop my sword, please don't cut off my head; let me pick up my sword so I can cut off yours."  Yeah right.  You mouseslipped because of timidity and couldn't pull the trigger.  He lolled at you and won, like he should.

LazyIntuition

How the hell this is considered a "HOT" topic, omg.

fraser22

its respect.. all it is

fraser22

respecting your opponent and his time and energy he or she puts in to the game.

ever hear of warriors or just any person not fighting an unarmed man?

fraser22

mouse slip yes.. i get it.. its what happens after the slip.. lol anyways.. you guys just dont understand

LazyIntuition

Lol, there's also this new one we call "checkmate."

Fraser22, the lone guy on here who'd rather be an "honorable" Class D rather of a ruthless Class A.  Let me guess, you dawn a white glove to deliver mate.      Fancies himself Josh Waitzkin ". . . take the draw"

True story, one time my cat jumped up onto my keyboard and it mouselipped my queen enprise; it sat there nude in the center, capturable by black's choice of 5 pieces . . . after about 10 seconds, he declines the sack and goes on to lose . . . completely true!  Cool  Feline gambit.

Are you kitten me?  I litter-ally felt paw-some and paw-sitivily Purr-fect. Meow that other guy must have felt clawful.  Fur-real.
