A pawn. I am going in one direction and hardly ever veer of course and if I reach the end I will be Kinged. I know that does not happen in chess, but in real life it will.
I think I would be the score sheet.

A pawn... so much potential, but the chances of making it that far? Meh...
I would be a morph
I'd be that extra queen that comes with the set. I'd love to get in the game, but most of the time, it just doesn't happen.

Your Pawn doesn't need to make it to the end if it can Checkmate the King instead

Since this thread clearly allows for making up pieces that don't exist, I'd be a physician. You know, that lesser-known piece that heals other pieces when they're sick or injured instead of killing anyone.
The d1 square... with a queen sitting on me over and over and over.
@FM chuddog: yeah, like a Medic with special healing powers, also prevention is better than the cure.
Remember, Chess pieces change their value according the state in the game. "Chess theory", viz. opening, mid-game , endgame.
