Igor Smirnovs chess courses are like anything else. They are tools to chess improvement. They will be as effective as the effort you apply.

Personally I enjoy them and they give me what I need and ask for.

No I have gone through his GM’s secrets course and he teaches in depth. His explaination and system is just perfect. He is different than others.

I think you misunderstood my reply. I enjoy his courses and find them both fun, informative and they make me want to learn. What I mean by "tools" is that his courses like anything else: coaches. books, videos, etc are only as effective as you make them. You put in maximum effort you will get maximum benefit. You put in minimal effort and you will get minimal benefit. I am currently on his "3 Steps to 2000" course and so far i find it highly enjoyable and informative.

His short videos are utter garbage — they are mostly comprised of him trying to make objectively terrible openings and opening traps seem very good by showing what happens if the wrong moves are played, while completely ignoring the very obvious correct moves to avoid the traps — but the rest of his content is really great.
