I would add you should just flat ignore anyone giving you "get good at chess fast" advice. It won't be fast because your expectation of what "good" is will continue to evolve with your understanding of the game.
Chess is not something anyone gets good at "fast". just saying this so you don't have the expectation you'll do a single training scheme and that's all you need. You'll need to play thousands of games as you progress through the elo until you plateau. At plateaus, you'll need to study some theory, practice it and you'll start climbing again ... and rinse and repeat
Enjoy
im stuck at 100 elo

im stuck at 100 elo. what do i do
Try some tactics like forks. The best one early game is the wayward queen attack, who attacks the kings pawn. If the opponent attacks your queen with a knight's pawn, take their kings pawn forking the rook and king
Stop lying. You're such an attention seeker.

Dear Gamerboywhat,
My name is Gabor Balazs. I’m a Hungarian FIDE Master and a certified, full-time chess coach, so I hope I can help you. Everybody is different, so that's why there isn't only one given way to learn and improve.
First of all, you have to discover your biggest weaknesses in the game and start working on them. The most effective way for that is analyzing your own games. There is a built-in engine on chess.com which can show you if a move is good or bad but the only problem is that it can't explain to you the plans, ideas behind the moves, so you won't know why it is so good or bad.
In my opinion, chess has 4 main areas (openings, strategies, tactics/combinations and endgames) and if you want to improve efficiently, you should improve all of these skills almost at the same time. That's what my training program is based on. My students enjoy the lessons because they cover multiple aspects of chess in an engaging and dynamic way, keeping the learning process both stimulating and efficient. Of course, there are always ups and downs but this is completely normal in everyone's career.
If you would like to learn more about chess, you can take private lessons from me (you find the details on my profile) or you can visit my Patreon channel (www.patreon.com/Bgabor91), where you can learn about every kind of topics (openings, strategies, tactics, endgames, game analysis). There are more than 30 hours of educational videos uploaded already and I'm planning to upload at least 4 new videos per week, so you can get 4-6 hours of educational contents every month. I also upload daily puzzles in 4 levels every day which are available with a FREE subscription.
I hope this is helpful for you. Good luck with your games!

Hey everyone,
Saw a lot of good questions here — getting past 100 ELO is definitely doable with the right focus!
A few quick tips that can really help:
Play slower games (like 30|0 or 15|10) so you actually have time to think.
Focus on basic tactics (pins, forks, skewers) — solving 5-10 puzzles a day consistently is more powerful than cramming.
Understand basic opening principles: control the center, develop pieces, and castle early.
After each game, review your blunders instead of just jumping into the next one. Fixing a few big mistakes makes a huge difference fast.
If anyone’s serious about speeding up their progress, I also offer 1-on-1 beginner coaching and structured study plans tailored for each player. Feel free to message me if you’re interested — happy to help you hit that milestone! 🎯
Good luck everyone, you've got this!
If you are stuck really stuck at 100 elo (which any human shouldnt be) you can improve your play by
1. Be AWARE that no piece is hanging
2. And if that takes too much time ,consider playing on longer time controls first, when i was a begginer i used to play 30 minute games (i still blundered many times but its a good step to enhance your skill.
3. Play regularly, this will help to increase your piece awareness ( knowing where every piece is so that you can check none is hanging )
4. Check before playing a move that no threat is there
5. Watch videos of gothamchess, chessvibes etc to enhance your skill even more
These are all the steps you need to follow to reach 1000 , after that point you need to learn more about tactics , checkmate patterns , how to chwckmate with b+b or b+k or r and many more
I hope this helps you to increse your elo , good luck
