thanks for the advice I will definitely look into the courses recommended but what I'm looking for is more how to spend the time. i.e. 10 minutes tactics hour analysis of one of my games 30 minutes endgame ... or monday openings tuesday middlegame ....... Looking for a regiment that serious players use and stick to and has helped them improve . But like I said I will check those courses out especially if there free.
Improvement and Study Plan
20 minutes for tactics training. 40 minutes for the rest of your studies like endgame and strategy studies. 1 hour for playing. These equals 2 hours a day. I suggest you not to play immediately after doing chess studies. Maybe take a 2 hours break before playing so that your mind will be fresh when you play a game.
add some diversity on your schedule. play for 2 hours in a day and in the next day devotee all your 2 hours for chess study.
this is what you do? true when I play after study i usually lose allot. good advice.
yes because i noticed that after studying my mind is not settled. so i take a break before playing. this is like doing a heavy workout. you won't play basketball or tennis well if you play immediately after doing a heavy workout.

Also focusing on blitz is not the best way to become a better chess player. Playing longer time controls allows you to think about what you should be doing.
So what should you be thinking? In that regard, consider the following...

Russ beat me to it. Hard to really get much better than this, it has damn near everything and will last you years, up to about master.

Throw in some playing, analyzing, and some chess books that look interesting to you, and boom, you're on your way.
Looking for suggestions on a study plan/regiment. I can devout an hour a day for sure maybe two. No official rating but my chess.com blitz rating (I only play blitz so far) stays between 1500 and low 1700's. Any suggestions appreciated but tried and true methods preferred. Thanks in advance!
