In life there are vissicitudes that cannot be forseen. Chess is a perfect information game. It is our own fault if we do not foresee an event on the chessboard.
In what ways is chess not like life?

The OP is divorced from reality with such a fanciful statement.
owo. Idk what "OP" means but is it really just a "fanciful statement."

Betting you are another " come- back" kid.. Bye.
xD Really. You say that after your childish "get real" response. I really want to understand why you would be so ignorant to such a popular topic.

Mavis, the fact that you take what he says to your heart shows you have self doubts and lowered self confidence. Just saying, no critic.

wait wait wait. Please do not assume I have taken any of this to heart. xD Where there did I get defensive? Did you see "ignorant" as maybe an insult I would try to bash him with? Simply, that word was most relevant. Even the first line, its funny, is it not that he would say that Im a "come-back kid" after him saying something rather childish himself.

I believe you dude, you just shouldnt take anyone so seriously, especially yourself
And whats wrong with taking things seriously.

Everything is wrong with that, but as long as you think its alright, its alright .
Stop running away xD explain it clearly.
Philosophical question: In what ways is chess not like life?
I know it's realtively easy to come up with ways in which chess is like life, but what about ways that it is not?
Why ask this question? Just to gain a better understanding of what chess is from a philosophical stand-point. Also, if we know ways in which chess is not like life, we have a better understanding of chess itself and maybe we can approach chess from a different, perhaps better, understanding.
