I thinks chess videos better than read articles in blog. However, if you like reading material, i would like recommend you to read chess books because it far well discuss in the book itself. One worth mention is Art of Attack in Chess by Vukovic.

Vukovic has a phenomenal book in that and another is "Chess pocketbook training course" by GM Lev Alburt. I like this because it focuses on the most critical tactics that will be seen up to nearly 2199 USCF and the fact that it is not arranged by theme. This helps to keep one from focusing on one type of tactic in their current games while still learning the idea of tactics as a whole.

Yes. Solving puzzle will help your tactical ability a lot
