1500 elo and you are good. 1800 and you are pro. 2000+ and you are master. To really be steady 1500 you need to be 1700 and so on..

Endgame strength
Strategy and tactical understanding
Able to punish mistakes by opponent
Knowledge of pawn structure and how to play it
Opening ability to play a variety of openings or lines
At 1750 I felt I had knowledge of these concepts. At 1900 I branched out in openings and have become even stronger and well rounded. In essence can you understand what to do in most situations? This is also a good indicator of strength.

Is a 1250 rating the same in rapid a10 as it is in 15/10? Or does the rating just relate to the specific type game being played?
