BUT... you can checkmate when you castle, so it can be bad too
Is castling a good move? Why or why not?

Is castling a good move? Why or why not? What do you think??? I think it can and cannot be a good move. It depends on the game, but SERIOUSLY what do you think??
The same.
Castling has the potential to be an excellent move, but it should never be played without thought.
Castle when you have no better move.

Generally its good to castle when you can. However, make sure that castling doesnt leave any of your pieces undefended. Also, if your opponent has a lack of piece development it may be better to play an attacking move rather than castling immediately.

Sometimes you might open the center just in order to FORCE your opponent to castle out of there... and then you shift the focus of your attack to his castled King.

Coach: This gives the enemy a chance to checkmate. This misses the opportunity to eventually win a pawn.
Me: why would you want a pawn if you're already checkmated
