You can try the membership for free for 7 days - cancel before the payment date to avoid charges. Pick Diamond to try everything.
Gold – Adds lessons and puzzles. Can you find them elsewhere? Sure. lichess.org/learn has them too for free, so Gold isn't necessary in my opinion.
Platinum – Adds game reviews, letting you see your mistakes, accuracy score, etc., for each game not just once per day. Lichess offers similar features, and you can even import your Chess.com games to analyze on Lichess for free! Lichess also has a great "Learn from Mistakes" feature. And you can export your games as PGN files and analyze them using desktop software, so Platinum is not absolutely necessary either.
Diamond – Adds insights, I think that's a powerful tool to track your progress over time. I like it, but you can also do many kinds of manual analysis on Chess.com. There are free and helpful tools like Explorer and Analysis (do not confuse with Review).
In this example, d5 is highlighted, and you can see the suggested best next moves for White (with up to 5 lines enabled in the settings). If your move doesn’t appear in the list (or appears but has bad outcome) you’ll know it wasn’t the best choice. This info is free here.
Explorer (free) let's you learn openings with best outcomes for each side.
In your game archive, you can filter games by opening and manually calculate your win/loss ratio for each opening to identify your weaknesses. That's also free. With Insights, these stats are calculated automatically.
So, you can get accuracy scores for free from other platforms and manually track your daily average in Excel while Insights automates this process and offers more than just accuracy tracking (check out sample Insights to see).
So, is it worth it? It depends on whether you're stuck and feel that such statistics would help you improve and you don't want to mess with Excel a do lot of manual work. If so, then yes, it's worth trying. Diamond also adds a “coach” that comments on your moves, though Lichess has similar features, so it's not a huge advantage.
i just wanted to ask/know if chess.com membership worth it and if yes then what are the benefits
