Is chess only fun when you win?

Not only when winning
As long as i play good games, am not under heavy pressure, have no fear of being accused of cheating, and my opponents do not behave like jerks then chess is still fun despite losing

I wouldn't believe that it'd be simply dependent on the game that you're playing to be the decider that is only fun when you win, but rather the player.
As a game, Chess would feature players of this mindset and otherwise, as all games. There are just people, in any game, that want to crush and dominate, right? Nothing to do with Chess.
No, Chess is not only fun when you win, the sport is the game, not the results. People who believe that may have this exact mindset towards other games, and it may be advisable to them to take it easy LOL

It doesn't matter if it's a loss, a win, or a draw. Each new game is a unique combination that shows the complexity and beauty of chess in a new way.

You remember and learn more from losses than wins. But of course winning gives more people motivation to keep improving.

losing is just pain there is no excuses for losing and whenever you lose, it just hits you at your body like a heart attack, there is no remorse but pain and you just have to keep on moving. the more points you gamble and the more points you win or lose is ultimately what makes someone happy cause they managed to get a win at their goal. winning is fun cause you win and nobody likes losing, its more fun to be the guy smiling than the guy in the corner
