Is ChessMood Worth It?

its a bit effective for beginners and intermediate players to boost their rating to 2000 but once you hit 2000 chessmood won't be that effective anymore
perhaps you should not discuss another site on Chess.Com, especially as you are using it for free. It is unethical methinks.

I've been trying to get into it actually, looks interesting
I think so. But if I buy it, it would be in the summer when I have time

From what i have found they have pretty good lessons and courses for increase in rating, i think you should defo give it a try and if you find it useful stick with it

Yeah, but it's 60 dollars per month and it's kinda expensive for me

I have heard about a chess website called ChessMood. I have tried it while it was free on International Chess Day. But I'm not sure if it's worth buying it. Has anyone bought it and what are your thoughts?
Just speaking personally, for $60/month, it's not for me at that price. I learn better by learning myself, on my own, and always was better because I can go at my own pace, study and practice what I want, basically freedom to be on my own. Is this for everyone? No, definitely not.
Which is why I say "in my personal situation" and the same for you too. It depends on YOU! If there is a free trial or something give it a shot, see how to lessons are, if you understand them well, can the instructors actually teach and communicate effectively and breakdown complicated things into a simplified understandable manner? Or are they one of those that yes are GM's but do not know how to teach really. Because knowing something and being able to teach it effectively are two different things.

At your level Chessmood would not be effective. They also did say you should be above 800 blitz chess.com, because otherwise most of the material would be too advanced.

Hi @ParisLegend,
I have been using chessmood for a month now and it is really good. Their courses are easy to learn, fun to play and it has improved my lichess.org rating is i only play there. I had a query which i sent to chessmood and they took action very well and were very kind and understanding. I as a 2300 on lichess recommend it for intermediate to experts. I think it is the best learning platform (maybe better than chess.com and lichess.org). Highly recommend it for you. It is worth 60$. If you are still not very sure, buy a monthly membership and check it out! (easily worth $500-$1000 a year due to the course quality and mainly, these GMS are really good at teaching @DonkeyLovesChess). It's not fake! I have experience this is the that best I material I have seen.
Thank you, Cheerful Artist
Thx, I'll try it in summer for 3 months
