Is Isabel low-key stronger than Wally?

I still get crushed majority of the time when I play Isabel. For me, what I've noticed is that Isabel is pretty bad at endgames and occasionally plays a horrible game, but when it's not committing mistakes that no human that rating level would commit, she plays sensationally good. Isabel punishes you for playing bad openings and is also very good at punishing positional mistakes. Of course, I blunder a lot too, but nonetheless, most of the time, I can't even survive until the endgame.

Whereas with Wally, it feels like you can get away with mistakes much easier. I somehow managed to win first try with 78% accuracy, making a ton of blunders in the process and playing a broken dragon Sicilian (I was thrown off by Wally's strange opening). Is Isabel at her strongest better than Wally at his, thoughts?

Obviously, I was black in this game. Wally was white

I don't know what isabel's strength is but i agree that she seems to play very surprising unhuman-like moves. i also thought she seemed stronger than 1600, but i don't know how to quantify it

bro I asked for a game review in a game that I lost against her and she was 2100... The game wasn't even short, it went to the endgame, and I didn't play that bad, the review gave me 1650 rating. There's something wrong with this bot

Was just searching for a post on how Isabel compares to Wally, and found this.

I can pretty much corroborate what you're saying.

It took me a week of intensive effort to beat Isabel. And as you're saying, most of the times I was punished for playing bad openings, and when I finally got the better of "her", it took a lengthy endgame to do so, where "her" king had ended up behind two folded pawns of mine, and for some obscure reason "she" was refusing to capture either of them.

Wally, on the other hand, I beat on first attempt. My accuracy was, like, 84, if I remember correctly. I wish it would mean I'm getting better, but I'm afraid it's just a matter of somewhat faulty ratings.

Not to mention the bot called "Summer Isabel" (1750, which is still lower than Wally's 1800). She is even more ridiculously hard to beat than "her" regular version. I've been struggling for nearly three weeks...

IDK, bot elos are generally not accurate and the website doesn't really care about bot strength being that accurate. Bots try to imitate players of similar style and elo but the program may not work as intended sometimes It is probably that the program replicating the style is not so precise with deciding what skill level a move is, while being realistic to other things
