Is it considered disrespectful to do this in a chess game?

You can checkmate the opponent in one move but instead stall and mock the opponent by getting more queens and stalling

btw I don't mean stalling the clock I mean just playing stalling moves and delaying checkmate by postponing it with queens

I find it kinda annoying when ppl do that myself, so if I can get checkmate, I go for it. No sense makin ppl mad cuz ur stalling the game

It is within the rules. As long as people are not really stalling in a lost position by running down their clock on purpose, people can do with their time whatever they wish.

It depends on how much time there is or what personality your opponent has. If your opponent has like for example 3 minutes and you only have 20 seconds, it’s considered almost a free win. Or, if your opponent just hates losing so much, maybe he won’t be that mad at you. For the others with a poor personality, for example your opponent is always so mad when you waste time, those players might end up feeling furious or something like that. And if you have a lot more time than your opponent, or simply just a bit moor time than your opponent, people will consider it pretty disrespectful. But in my opinion, it’s actually a bit nice cause you’re not winning immediately. I don’t know, what would you say?

Stalling the game like that could potentially leave room for your opponent to get a better position tho, so prolonging it might not always be a good idea
