Is it possible to deliver checkmate in 1 move?

I have been wondering checkmate in 1 move. Is it possible for rook or Bishop or queen

Of course not. Can you even capture at least one piece from your opponent in the first move?

It is not an opinion lol. It is a faaaaact

There are 20 legal first moves for white ( 16 pawn moves and 4 knight moves) and none of them even checks the black king.

None of them even capture a piece

And, like @tygxc said, the queen is good for checkmating.

Wait, do you mean we deliver a  1 move checkmate after the first moves, or in starting position?
