Is it possible to do a "real time" playback of old games?

Hi everyone. I'm just wondering if there's a way to do a "real time" playback of archived games.

I've tried going into my archive, clicking on the checkbox to show move time stamps, and downloading the PNG for a game.

When I do the "playback" of the game with the PNGs, it doesn't do it in "real time" (i.e. if a move took 2 minutes in "real time" it takes 2 minutes in the playback). So is there a way to do that here on this site?

Set a stop watch / timer / alarm and make your move.  Then reset and repeat for every move made for both players, There would not be a feature for which you ask.

I don't know exactly what you mean but why would you want that? Do u mean like an automatic playing of the moves, without you clicking anything?

Let me clarify. What I want to do is do an auto-replay of the games, but in "real time". In other words, I go to an archived game that I played, press "play", and if it took 2 seconds to make the first move, and 10 seconds to make the second move, and 6 seconds to make the 3rd, for example, I would like to see that reflected in "real time". So the "auto play" would do 2 seconds, 10 seconds, 6 seconds for the moves.

They used to have that feature. However, it no longer exists.

I know they have something as to what you described on Chessgames . com but I don't know if they'd ever implement something like that here.  I wonder why though, is there a reason you want that feature?  Most people go back to their archive of games to review the games and that usually requires them going over each and every move slowly.....
