Is it possible to get false banned at chess.com?

Hi, I was playing a rapid game and I noticed that my accuracy was 96.3 and I'm rated 1200. I was banned before due to cheating and I don't want to get banned ever again. Is it possible for me to get false banned because of this?

Either you are banned or not banned. What's a false ban?

Yes, a 1600 rated player got banned a few months ago when Hikaru Nakamura falsely accused him of cheating.

They later realised he was innocent and Chess.com apologised, unbanned him and gave him 2 years free diamond membership.

@PalenciaJulio wasn't banned: he was kicked from the Live Chess game he was playing against Hikaru, which caused him to lose the game.

The action was taken by a Live Chess moderator without actually performing any analysis of the game and without checking with the Fair Play team first. Chess.com has indeed apologized for that and given the person 2 years of free diamond membership and has changed the result of that specific game:

However, there was no "unbanning" as @PalenciaJulio's account was never actually closed.

People whose accounts ARE closed for Fair Play violations are either basic members who have been cheating so obviously that they are banned automatically, or after review by the Fair Play team. It's very unusual for the Fair Play team to make an error in this space - their entire ethos is to only act when they are confident enough to defend that decision in a court of law. They do review cases on appeal, but the likelihood of success of any such appeal is very low.

@CoolPineAppleMan Your answer is simple: don't cheat and you won't be banned. Having a high accuracy in a game will not get you banned.

You won’t be banned if you don’t cheat 😉I had a game the other day with 97.6% honestly high percentages don’t flag someone to much if it’s inconsistent and they have a good glicko rating.
