Hi. I wish I could help you. I too did not get a response with a remotely similar problem. I think you should consult this with you specialist. Good that you have hope for treatment. There are worse problems than ADHS.
Is it possible to improve the game having HDAS without treatment?

It so happens that I’m a depressed/anxiety sufferer. I wouldn’t compare any condition to another, but I have suffered big losses, but come back from them. Bizarrely, online chess helps me (even if I lose!) Purely because everything gets put aside for the game.
Many people here will tell you to play longer games, and I’d agree. Find a time frame you’re happy with. For me, it’s 15/10 at the moment, just because of life stuff.
Just keep playing. If it makes you feel good. And if it doesn’t., stop.
Best of luck; I’m in my 50s, a bad amateur player with issues, and probably need a diagnosis myself. Don’t feel alone, and good luck for future games 😀

Guys, thanks for your answers. I will take the advice of 15/10, it is certainly a way how to stop playing several hours in a row without any quality in the game. I was somehow expecting more people telling their experience with ADHD (ok, that's the English term), as it is something quite common. Anyway, thanks, and yes, I will consult a specialist this week, if possible.

I wonder, what are results working with your specialist?
Thanks for asking. I talked to my doctor, not a specialist, and he said I did quite well in my life so far, so I shouldn’t worry. I guess he is right. I am living with this problem my whole life, and was able to deal with it.
Concerning chess: I stopped playing blitz and will begin playing rapid when I feel I know my openings. In the meantime time I go on playing 960 Daily and Daily.
I would like to hear about your experience with ADHS and the connection with your game. Thanks!
