Yes I was telling myself that Lucas seemed better than Arena, because I downloaded it but not tested it yet, I was wrong on several sources, Lucas Chess is better.

For me Lucas Chess is best open source chess project (before it was PyChess).

It seems that Lucas Chess is children education oriented.

I mention only one thing there Lucas Chess is the best: Lucas Chess bots are near excellent.

(In this case Arena Chess GUI not useful for me - even SCID is better.)

But in one Arena Chess GUI is better: Lucas Chess use only UCI engine protocol (Arena and PyChess allows [XBoard] CECP old and new variants)
