Did you send it in the in game chat, then check the messages page? Because those are two different things, I’m pretty sure chats don’t appear in the messages page

I just lost a game where I had a winning position because my friend woke up from her nap and started farting a bunch and talking to me. I was frustrated about it so I sent the person a message explaining what happened but the message is not showing up in my sent messages. Does chess.com delete messages that have the word "fart" in them?
