Is there a Chess PC Game with offline tournaments?

Hi there

newbie here, apologies if I posted this in the wrong section

heres the setup: Im not a good chess player, but I like to play from time to time. I go to a cabin in an isolated area with no internet and always bring my Laptop to play chess against the computer, but Id like to do it in a tournament mode.

I was wondering if theres a PC chess game, where you can play in a tournament style play against AI players generated by the PC. Like mortal kombat but playing chess instead of beating the crap out of each other.

It'd be awesome if each player was generated by the PC based on a real life historical player, like you play in the first round against a player who has a similar style than Capablanca (obviously less good), later you play karpov, you hiopefully get my point

It doesnt have to be based in real players, Id love to participate in a tournament, but all the chess games I've bought or played offline only have the single player mode or the quizzes option, no touranment offline against AIs generated by the PC.

thanks for any help

I am also hunting down some platform for the same purposes you mentioned here. If, for instance, I find something I will surely share here for all.

Cheers

3Dchess. You start in a kitchen then you can go in a club then in a tournament hall. You start with 4 opponents (Trixi Joe Harry Leon) and more your elo goes up more opponents pieces rooms you unlock.I passed on it years of my life. Now i am passed on Fritz8.3Dchess has like image on dvd a yellow knight. While you play you see face of your opponent (a little story), a photo and a smile:if smile is happy you must be worried, if smile is unhappy probably you are winning.Honestly i do not know where you can get it, a small research online can help you.So good luck and never play vs Leon, he is sooo slow.

The last few versions of Chessmaster have a tournament mode in which you can play against personalities that you choose. (Tournament modes are Swiss and Round Robin, I believe.) However, you'd have to buy a copy on the used market, and Chessmaster is getting harder to install in the recent operating systems like Windows 10. If you can get a cheap copy, it might be worth seeing if you can get it installed on your laptop.
