If there is a cure to chess addiction I have never found it and I have been playing here since May 2009. Taught myself the moves at 11 years old and became a good club player. Won a few congresses too.
Is there a way to get rid of online chess addiction?

One 15-10 a day keeps the addiction away! It works for me, anyway. A handful of daily tournaments, I've also learned, never hurt either. This simple recipe can turn chess into a very joyful experience, IMO. It's a very important topic, because mental health is key for a good long lifespan. Best wishes, & let the universe guide you. Carry on.

Try being addicted to picking your nose instead?
Everyone picks their nose. Only a few eat what they pull from it.

whatever the issue ( I agree that chess kills time though) the games make your brain cells better. You are at least better than other people those who don't know chess.

I played about 40 three minute games yesterday. My blood pressure was elevated last night and this morning. I also didn’t sleep well. At least I have three and and one-half days completely isolated from the internet starting tomorrow. It will be good to sleep in a tent with temperatures in the teens and spend my days looking at trees, wondering where the elk are hiding.

Too much of anything is dangerous.

You can choose to delete your account, or if you have a friend or parent, let them monitor you and give you some tips, if all of the above doesn't work, then use a website blocker and block chess.com, that will probably make you better.
I am also experiencing this, Im taking a break from chess.
I have seen people (including myself) playing internet (online or live), bullet/ blitz chess for several hours a day on the websites like chess.com. This drains a huge amount of energy, time and makes life difficult. Are there many people out there facing this problem or it's just only me ?
Chess works like a drug in my brain. Want to win more and play more. I hate when I lose. I am an average chess player(1800). I even know that I am not the best one out there and also can't be. People will say that practice will make you perfect and help you improve. But chess is not a joke, Innate chess intelligence is definitely required which I can't buy. No matter how hard I try I can't be the a best or at least a good one.
At the max I can go up to 2000 bullet rating if I try very hard. In bullet chess 2400 rated player trashes 2000 rated player like a tissue and gets smacked down by 2700 rated player. Even in usual chess, no one is perfect. Even Magnus carlsen loses a game on a bad day. Those players are GMs and chess is their life. But why the heck am I not be able to quit it ?
It's better than smoking
“The passion for playing chess is one of the most unaccountable in the world. It slaps the theory of natural selection in the face. It is the most absorbing of occupations. The least satisfying of desires. A nameless excrescence upon life. It annihilates a man. You have, let us say, a promising politician, a rising artist that you wish to destroy. Dagger or bomb are archaic and unreliable - but teach him, inoculate him with chess.” H.G. Wells,
Also try website blocker like cold turkey, force yourself to study something less addictive like trading ;-)
