If you have been playing for 20 years, I would expect your rating to be a little higher.
Is this strategy really unbeatable?

"So to answer the OP, coming from the GM Serper, yes the pawn wall is unbeatable--but only when played to perfection. Many people slave themselves to a move order instead of understanding the principles of pawn wall play, like the first poster does."
All strategies are unbeatable when played to perfection, no?

Someone already said that. Plus the OP plays in Fiji which has a small pool of mostly lower-rated players. So even if he won a tremendous percentage of his games his rating still would be on the low side.

All strategies are unbeatable when played to perfection, no?
Not even close to true.
"Here's a strategy: For every move that it is legal to do so, move your King."
No matter how perfectly you play that strategy, you're going to lose. And that's just one of a million possible losing strategies.

If the french had had that advice in WW2, they would have stopped making wine when the germans invaded. But no, they had to stick to their strategy...

I don't think that Taimanov grasped the concept completely? You know the V for victory etc...
Taimanov didn't follow the strategy exactly, but some were similar, like how Black was forced to trade pawns to slow the attack followed by an attack by White's pieces. I didn't know of any games where a "V" formation was combined with a slow pawn advance.
Could BigChessMaster post a game in which he uses the strategy?

it's not the strategy that is being criticized; it is the clearly false assertion that it is unbeatable. COME ON!!
That's true; I said that it was not unbeatable, but it was not bad. Actually, some people went further than saying it was not unbeatable and said it was terrible e.g. creating holes, exposing the king, etc.

I didn't read the original post and the answer is no.
Truer words have never been spoken handsome genius

"Either you're playing dumb, or it's not an act."
Another JJ quote I like :)

Shannon's number, if your strategy was full proof and unbeatable, then chess would be limited by that !!!! and it aint, infinite possibilities http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shannon_number
Worked for France in WWII, didn't it?
