So the program 'Jonny' won the World Computer Chess Championship 2015. Was it just its impressive hardware (2400 cores) or is the program actually any good on normal hardware?

Guess not - it turns out it came 6/8 in the other tournament which was on equal hardware. WCSC.

It's kind of weird that Chessbase didn't report this event. I guess they didn't want to admit that their favourite child (Komodo) got beaten (in the final standings) by Shredder on equal hardware.
