Hi all, I'm really starting to enjoy chess again. I used to play a little about 20 years ago.
Since teaching my nephew the basics (very young), I started realising the clear difference between a computer game and playing against a human player.
I always prefere to play Black, because I have theory why it is best to play second, & it's not a new theory, it's ancient.
I beat KChess Elite several times playing Black against the computer at expert level (Ply23), it's possible it's because I set the sandclock to 120 seconds from 180 seconds.
The following shows me beat the computer in 3 moves, the computer playing White ran out of time again.
[Moves]
1. d2-d4 e7-e6
2. Nb1-c3 Bf8-b4
3. Ng1-f3 Bb4xc3+
4. b2xc3
[EndGame]
Obviously the last move is the one where White runs out of time.
I don't claim to be very good, but it's becoming clear that any computer chess game has set patterns, which can be confused very easily with a unpredictable human mind.
I'm now playing Chess a lot now, & really enjoying it. I'm due to play some guy who is apparently a great Chess player, I'm told he does some kind of trick with the Bishops? I have an idea what this is, but I'll have to wait & see.

Good to join here.
Bye for now.
