King capture ?

You definitely need a new chess program. Yours is terrible. That is most certainly not a mate.
I recommend Houdini or Stockfish or Critter or any of the many other free chess engines available.

You've got a turncoat pawn, I'm afraid. In times of war, it is somewhat common for soldiers to masquerade as friendly when they are in fact working to further the cause of your enemy; here you see the devastating possible outcomes of their treachery.

I'm inclined to believe it's meant to be a black pawn, I must admit. But I will stand by my turncoat pawn theory until someone proves otherwise!
Man, am I glad that I have a sense of humor Seriously, this has happened more than once when playing the computer on this site. I did not save the game in which I showed you only the white king and the two black rooks (and of course that waskily white pawn), but I made no mistake in understanding the rest of the board. Actually, the only black pieces remaining were the king, the two rooks, and four pawns which were still on the black side of the board. I was playing the computer set for "easy", so maybe the program for "medium" doesn't have that terrible chamelon pawn
