Just to let you know that your gameplay vs Leela Bots donesn't affect the training. Leela bots are there because some people donate their hardwares, time and electricity for Leela funs and a lot of people are enjoying with Leela bots.
Both Leela and Stockfish projects are welfare projects donated by thousands of people, dedicated for the benefits of chess community.
100 millions chess players already get best free chess engine stockfish from the stockfish project.
Leela project is expecting the same.( Leela was started by stockfish's main author, Garry Linscott). Leela is currently supported by dozens of other stockfish programmers.
Just to reconsider yourself twice, before bitching free welfare projects.
When you put like that, it makes more sense... The site still sux tho' but then this one is getting like a ghost town too...
Maybe websites should also pay you to play there because you make their site look busy...
Oh, wait. You want to play Chess and all of these websites and engine developers are letting you play for free without having to ride a bus to go find an opponent. You, on the other hand, are contributing nothing to the arrangement at all...you're just a complaining consumer of free products. A net negative in the equation. I guess logic would dictate that they don't really owe you jack, yes?
Getting started with new engine Lco!

When you put it like that, that makes little sense but for coming from a tool... Nothing is free... How do you think they get their much needed data for AI? player pools... Far better to play OTB & to play bots, why do you need to do anything but play your own computer you can pre program to your own needs? Chess Players look to play with other players at lichess they get bots under the façade of human interactivity, it is a wrong dibbed out, without guilt based only on the fact it is free, yet it is no less a wrong...
I told you already, Leela doesnt need human data.
1. Leela learn by reinforcement learning(stochastic control method) by playing herself.
2. She doen't not learn by supervised learning. In case she learns by supervised learning, programmers will let her learn from 3500+ stockfish or 2700+ GM games, not from random 1500 amateurs who drop pieces here and there, and move the pieces whatever they see in their eye first.

I know all about the freemium model, why it works, how many impressions are required to break even on a website, etc. Do you? What you "pay" here is seeing ads. What you "pay" for playing Leela? Nothing.
There's no "wrong" involved, except your perception of the world. You might as well say that a fireworks show on the 4th of July is something you should be paid to attend, because you are contributing to the success of the event. Your "they need my data" stance is BS, but even if it weren't...you'd still be wrong. Even if the fireworks show offered $2 hot dogs and you bought one, you still would not be morally entitled to be paid for attending.
You have free will...take a hike if you don't like Leela. Simple enough.
I just downloaded the latest leela chess and network 448. I was curious how it would fare against Komodo 12.1.1 Monte Carlo playing 4/2. I used the GPU version. My GPU is a Nvidia 1070. My CPU is a i7-6700 at 3.4 Ghz.
I had them play 10 games and in this match, Komodo Monte Carlo came out slightly ahead at 5 1/2 to 4 1/2.
What was noticeable to me was that the games had a rather more human feel to them than the stuff normally played by the likes of Stockfish. Perhaps that was just my imagination, but the games felt less like random pieces had been thrown on the board in the late middle-game.
Here is a game where Leela Chess managed to win:
Here is one where Komodo 12.1.1 Monte Carlo won:
Leela is stronger and stronger day by day!
She is almost ready to fight Stockfish!
This is a spy picture from her training camp.
Leela is left behind in the computer chess race. The top enginery is approaching Alpha Zero level already.
The first game of SF vs Leela ended as draw. SF on 43 cores TCEC hardware($4000 CPU) vs Leela on 2x1080 Ti($1800 GPU ). Time control, 24 mins rapid. (White leela, black stockfish)
