Just play a lot of games
you are paried with random group from your current league
who wins the most games promotes
lets say I play 1000 blitz games and win 0, draw 100 and lose 900 then i get 100 * 3 points
You play 30 blitz games and win all, then you get 30 * 9 points so you end up with 270points
You might be orders of magnitude better than me, but if i play more, i am more likely to promote

There is no prize money for finishing in any place in any League divisions.
do you need a good rating for legend leaue?

Top-3 advance, so if you have a good chance but with 4 and a half hours, it's possible you could drop to 4th or lower.
