Letting Time Run Out Instead of Resigning

I get a clearly winning position (i.e. opponent blunders their queen, etc.) and instead of resigning or playing it out, the opponent just stops making moves.  I'm left to sit there waiting for the clock to run out.

Honestly, if you want to play it out, that's fine.  But if you're not going to, could you please click Resign so I don't have to just sit there wondering if you're going to make a move or not?  What a waste of time.  Some people on this site really need to learn some sportsmanship.

I wonder if there's anything chess.com could do about this.  I appreciate it when it says "Game abandoned" or "So-and-so has disconnected and the game will auto-resign in ~ seconds)", but there are too many times when there's no message and I just have to sit, waiting, wondering...

When that happens you can report them for stalling and chess.com will deal with it.
