The black king ended up on f2?! Are you sure you weren't playing Mr. Bongcloud?
Little Chess Master suffered defeat!

congrats man, to beat LCM is not an easy task for a beginner. But i wonder can you beat him now once in every 3 games ? :) and one more thing, if you want to play live chess games maybe i can teach you something :)
Just wondering, but what is Little Chess Master? At first I thought you meant the Little Chess Partner (http://www.chess.com/play/computer.html), but the name "Little Chess Master" kept repeating, and there's even the acronym LCM, so it can't be a typo, and I realized this must be something else. Where can I find this program?
Thanks
Woops, I meant little chess partner. For some reason I kept typing little chess master, (maybe it sounds cooler). That might change some opinions of people but yeah the LCP I meant rather. Too many acronyms! But yes it did seem like I was playing Mr. Bongcloud. Now I will just keep that momentum going, and work on my middle game.
Hi everyone, as it is obvious I am a new member here. I am beginning to learn the strategy and tactics of chess for the past few weeks or so which has been quite fun in between my studies at college. I told myself for no real reason, that I wouldn't play live over the chess.com beta until I could beat Little Chess Partner on easy. While obviously this may be easy and take little thought for some players here, it took every ounce of my concentration and use of general strategy and tactics to win. I always got the feeling that LCP had a mindreader in my head and knew what I was going to do and I must have played 15+ games all ending in checkmate against me. My openings were well enough, but I always felt like I was hitting a wall in the middle game as no place to go. I wasn't hemming in my bishops but any push forward would result in material loss for me. I will have to illustrated another time in the different forum. Nevertheless, I suffer from severe blunderitis so when I was able to corral the king out of secure defences into the middle of the board I felt I had a great chance at forcing him into checkmate as long I didn't put my queen in the line of fire from an unseen fianchettoed bishop or an unseen knight. Thankfully, LCP had not developed its rooks and queen (lucky for me) and the king went down with a soft, quiet, and lonely wimper.
I put the end configuration on display, but it wouldn't let me put the black king in checkmate, so imagine it on f2!
Maybe I will start playing some live chess games now, but I am a rather slow player. I will most likely learn how to pick things up now. A big yet small step. I just had the urge to tell everyone about LCP defeat. (edited post to change to LCP not LCM)
