Losing elo for aborted games

Games that have previously been marked as aborted are now costing me elo even when I have to leave and don't play a single move. This is incredibly frustrating. Yesterday, I pressed CTRL + Shift + T to return a tab I had closed, instead it opened chess.com and started a challenge (https://www.chess.com/game/live/78219135411). I immediately quit because I could not play at that hour but it counted as a full loss even though I played 0 moves. Now today, I was waiting for a long period of time for a challenge to begin and gave up and quit the website. When I returned, it said a game had started (https://www.chess.com/game/live/78267244599) and I lost even though I played no moves. I'm incredibly infuriated by the loss of elo for games that have always counted as aborted in the past for me. Update: This same exact thing happened TWICE in the same day. (https://www.chess.com/game/live/78267734311) Why are games that I don't begin counting as losses instead of aborted?

These are clearly cases that match the intention of the abort system, I don't use it that frequently. I don't think that's fair.
