Lower rated cheaters in online chess

i think u need to avoid playing online chess its just rubbish but this is just a suggestion
Sadly, I think you're probably right. I do it because I enjoy being able to play at my leisure. But I don't agree with the analyze function, and I know my opponents are using the hell out of it. I also don't agree that people can look up openings. Both of those seem like borderline cheating to me. I am seriously thinking about going back to standard. I need to get my standard and blitz ratings up, anyway. Haven't played those modes since I've made my improvements.

While I won't name any names as that's against forum etiquette (and please don't search my archive as it's not fair to the people I've played against), on at least two occasions I've played against cheaters in Online Chess. I know this because I heavily analyze my games afterwards. Unless it's possible for a 1500 player to play like a 1500 player the first 30 moves but go 7 and 8 positions deep when it's crunch time, I suggest there are cheaters about.
It's gotten to where I suspect people (while playing the game) who turn out to not be guilty at all. I think Chess.Com needs to start paying attention to lower rated games, but this is just a suggestion.
If a 1500 does what you suggest, he wouldn't be a 1500 for very long. His rating would quickly rise.
To stay a 1500, he'd have to open up like a 500 rated player, fall behind by two or three pieces and only then start playing like a grandmaster. Even then, he'd have to be careful not to find any 6 move checkmates.
Do you have any such games?

Hate to tell ya but it's the higher rated players that are more likely to cheat. Now why would you think that is?
Most likely it's all in your imagination. Weak players make strong moves sometimes. Post the games if you have a legitimate suspicion.
Bro, I'm reaching 1300 at the time of this message, and bruh yesterday I played on my friend's 500 account and I lost to all the people I played against. They were making perfect 99% accuracy moves every time, it's honestly kinda ridiculous.
Thanks for that. I've dropped down below 400 bullet rating now, and I thought I was losing my mind.
I don't disagree there are cheaters and even at lower ratings. They are usually not people playing legitimately. They are a script written. The program plays at different levels depending on rating. As the programs rating goes up it turns the intelligence down to throw games and keep the rating down. The motivation for writing or running the programs is to troll people. "Why?!?!" You ask. Because they can. Because, "why not?" Or they are some decent players who have 10 accounts and troll people on a few for kicks. In that case they would not be cheating, just jerks in my opinion.
I finally did find a solution for myself that I think others need to do. Play tournaments nearly exclusively if you want to dig out of the hole. For whatever reason there aren't so many trolls in tournament play.

I am an average player at best. I don't think I ever played a game without an inaccuracy or mistake. Especially over 40 moves.

Sorry but a game I just played a player at 1300 who was one move from perfect. I just don't see the point in cheating at chess. Its supposed to be about learning

Just had a thought, might be random. If you look at ratings accross chess.com and lichess, I believe there is a difference of about three hundred points. My ratings are 1300 plus on chess.com and 1700 on lichess. My puzzle rating is between 17 and 18 on both. So here is my JFK second shooter question...what if the low rated cheaters on chess.com are robots on chess.com? I've run into this on other game sites. Chess.com wants you to upgrade, they want money and that is ok. Bots help to support that cause. My anedotal evidence, is the difference in rating to lichess which is a nonprofit. Chess.com wants you to buy their training, special tournaments, etc. Bots sniping at your heels support this cause. So much about the internet makes us mad, that is the business model. I actually felt this more in the poker and pool world, but I see how it would translate here; How else would you explain the rating difference between two open forums?
It definitely seems like there are a lot of "advantage" players in a cluster in the 200-600 range on chess.com. The skill sets here feel completely bimodal - either perfect positional play with a couple of inaccuracies thrown in for spice (and no you don't reliably have 7-8 moves in on book in every opening at this level, no you don't play perfect sharp open games without error at this level and then "oops" bumble an inconsequential pawn or two in obvious ways, every game), or they're hanging pieces left and right and easy win or overtly sandbagging. Same rating range.

Hi,
Anyone suspicious or you feel sandbagging on a lower rating then report them and they can be checked.
Thanks
