In any case, I think faster is the way to go.
But 25+10 is too fast. Even I don't play tournament games that fast.
With something like 90+30 there is still plenty of opportunity to go wrong.

I added the link to the video in my original post. Magnus also talks about the match for quite long time in the video.
24 games classical. Just that. 12 games allows some players to take cowardish decisions on the board.
The inevitable is the new gen. They like watching blunder ridden, non role model games that are 400 below elos. If you look at all sports, I think you will find persuasive that chess would go the e-sports way to keep decreasing attention spans. Picture this: like esports.....the 'basketball' console hovering above them, with AB on one side and NN on another...judging the players. You can still get your swirling lights and the rest of that jazz in...with the drone overhead. And of course there will be plenty of selfie experiences. And the tweet mirror...got to have the stream of wise consciousness on the phone and be and feel more than yourself for the spiritual awakening importance.
I think FIDE should put together a committee of players who have been rated >2700 in the last year, or just make a questionnaire and ask all players >2700 to respond.
Because I'm pretty sure a lot of amateur suggestions are rubbish such as 24 game match length and of course first to 10 wins.
Interviewed by Jan Gustafsson in c24 London stream today Magnus proposed following to determine world champion:

Four games of rapid 25+10 each day or six games of 15 +10. Match would be like best of 48 to 60 depending on time control. His reasoning was that to determine best player you have to play lots of games to minimize chance of error. Also in shorter time control the game is more about chess abilities rather than endless amount of preparation. He added that rapid format does not remove importance of preparation.
Personally I think having lots of 25 + 10 minute games would be great. Why?
What do you guys think of Magnus' idea?
I think Magnus's idea is fine ... to determine the World Rapid Chess Champion.
But not the World Classical Chess Champion.
Classical chess times worked well in the past because players could adjourn. With the existence of today's chess engines, it's no longer possible to adjourn due to possible cheating. The longest game played in a world championship is the 6th game of the 2021 World Chess Championship between Magnus Carlsen and Ian Nepomniachtchi, which Carlsen won in 136 moves by resignation. The game lasted for 8 hours, 15 minutes and 40 seconds. The longest chess game in history was 269 moves between Ivan Nikolic vs. Goran Arsovic, Belgrade, 1989. The game ended in a draw. The game lasted over 20 hours over four days of adjournments. Magnus is proposing shorter games to make them less boring, less exhausting and more prone to draws. I support shorter time controls in classical chess.
I think the world championship classical games should be a half hour on each side with a 10 or 20 seconds increment. Maybe increase this increment to 30 seconds once below 1 minute on the clock.
Idea interesting (25m+10s pm) and as a better idea to have women and men play together in the same championship because otherwise it makes "a good championship" which interests and "a bad championship" which "doesn't interest and wastes our time"
In the last tournament before the World Cup Carlsen never won a single game in classical time controls. He couldn't beat Pragg in classical time controls either. Out of the ten classical games Carlsen has played against Ding he has only won one game with nine draws. It isn't any wonder Carlsen wants to destroy classical chess because he finds it too "boring and stressful."
I agree but at the same time quality of the games might decrease
Nah Magnus is just as good in rapid as classical.
